Cause

This error occurs when you try adding, creating or managing companies and is caused by your firewall blocking access to connected services or using an incorrect serial number.

Resolution

  1. We are aware of the ongoing issue.
  2. For updates go to the Sage community hub.

Upgrade to the Latest Version

  1. Go to: https://pastelupdate.sagesouthafrica.co.za/
  2. Select the correct option:
    • Partner: Click Getting Started > Latest Version
    • Xpress: Click Patch Updates > Previous Version

Add Connected Services to Trusted Sites

  1. Open Internet Properties:
    • Search for Internet Properties, or
    • Press Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, and press Enter
  1. Click the Security tab.
  2. Select Trusted sites, then click Sites.
  3. Add the following address: 
    https://connectedservices.sagesouthafrica.co.za
  4. Click Close.

Register Site License

  • Register your site license using the site license serial number.
  • Do not use the base serial number.
