How to resolve the error: 'You will need a internet connection to make this change' in Sage 50cloud Pastel

Cause

This error occurs when you try adding, creating or managing companies and is caused by your firewall blocking access to connected services or using an incorrect serial number.

Resolution

Add https://connectedservices.sagesouthafrica.co.za to "Trusted Sites" 

  1. Open Internet Properties by searching for it or by running inetcpl.cpl.
  2. Go to the Security tab.
  3. Select Trusted sites and click the Sites button.
  4. Add the web address https://connectedservices.sagesouthafrica.co.za to the list.
  5. Click Close.

Serial number for site license registration

You must register a site license using the site licence serial number. Do not use the base serial number.
